The road trip starts with beautiful vistas of Center Hill Lake. Further on along the route, the scenery is dominated by typical Cumberland Plateau views of high ridges of the valleys below. Along the way you'll see lots of forests with especially beautiful views in October when leaves are changing color. At the end of the route, when you reach Altamount and get on Route 50, you will drive off of the Cumberland Plateau and see some great views as you come down. The road is hilly and curvy, with some very steep and very sharp switchbacks and steep drop offs descending from the plateau.
Towns/Cities You'll Pass By/Through
Smithville and McMinnville are great stops with some good places to eat, etc. available. At the end of a long winding climb up the plateau there's a nice little community of Beersheba Springs.

Attraction or Point-of-Interest recommendation: Great place to eat at Pelham, Simply Southern Cafe. When you hit Pelham, turn left on 41 for stones throw, on left!!!! Wife wants to ride there every weekend!!!
