This route takes you through the Shenandoah National Park with its beautiful mountain views and abundance of wildlife. You'll find plenty of twists and turns in the road, so you'd better pay attention!
Towns/Cities You'll Pass By/Through
Front Royal at one end and Waynesboro at the end and no towns in between. This is a scenic road you take for the views and roads - not for craft shopping! It's 105 miles of twisty mountain roads....all smooth, clean road. Speed limit is only 35 mph due to the wilderness and mountains. You may reach 50mph but even at 35 it's very relaxing and enjoyable.

Comments: I make this trip every year, and every year I find new surprises around every corner. The wildflowers change throughout the year, and the wildlife encounters are incredible. One of the most relaxing places I've ever been and a great place to get away.

Attraction or Point-of-Interest recommendation: Walk through Big Meadows along the trails made by the whitetail deer. Take one of the ranger-led twilight walks in Big Meadows.
