On this road trip you will explore the beautiful Keweenaw Peninsula with awesome overlooks of Lake Superior. As you travel along the shoreline, you'll see miles of pristine beaches and lush forest. There are stretches of the road that run 500 feet above the Lake Superior shoreline offering you some great places to pull off and enjoy the incredibly beautiful views. This road trip is literary located at the end of the world!
Towns/Cities You'll Pass By/Through
A few small towns up here but not much in terms of "urban scenery" ... and that's why I like it so much! As far as road condition goes, US Highway 41, and State Highway 26 are all well maintained. One exception is Brockway Mountain Drive - poor road quality, but the view is worth the struggle! Also, along this route you'll find miles of back roads to explore!

All your tourist needs will be taken care of on this road trip! You'll find plenty of accommodation options in-season and gas is available in Houghton. There are some nice restaurants scattered along the route, with a grand Lodge just outside of Copper Harbor!
