This road trip takes travelers through a verdant land of rolling hills, beautiful fields and long sweeping curves. There are some pretty sharp turns along the way too, so be careful. The route takes you past an old cemetery and a church and when you get to the top of the hills, you'll see some nice panoramic views that stretch for miles. Going around the curves, keep your eyes open for wild turkeys and other wildlife species. Don't forget to bring your camera!
Towns/Cities You'll Pass By/Through
This road specializes in getting you away from towns and taking you along some nice hilly backroads. Elizabeth is at the start point and has your places to eat and and shop. Once your out of the towns you'll find great curves and hills on this run. The road is nicely paved. the road twists and turns through some nice farm land and then opens up to some great open road driving. Not much traffic is a big bonus. be careful around the curves, some are sharp.
Attractions & Points-of-Interests Along the Way
Outside of Elizabeth, there aren't many attractions on this road trip. Food, gas, shopping and lodging are available in Mt Caroll at the end of the route. Not far away to the west is Palisades State Park which is located along the path of a wonderful scenic river road leading up to Galena.
